About Giovanni Francesco Aniero

Anerio was born in Rome and spent most of his life there. He was an organist, taking the position of Mæstro di Cappella at Verona Cathedral from November 1608. He stayed in Verona until March 14th 1611, then returned to Rome. He was ordained priest on 24th July 1616. After his position of choirmaster to King Sigismund III in Warsaw, from the summer of 1624, he was on his way back to Rome when he died in Graz in June 1630.
